We are in Randvaal, near Alberton, South Africa 

Conkasha Golden Retrievers is a small kennel of Golden Retrievers near Lanseria, Johannesburg, South Africa, 7 kms from the Lanseria Airport. Being involved with my mother's Simaxdal Golden Retrievers since 1987, I have now a few Golden Retrievers of my own.  I predominantly breed, show, import Labrador Retrievers, but I also show Golden Retrievers.  I X-ray/test for HD, ED, PRA and SAVA test all my breeding adults. 

I occasionally have litters, puppies do have breeding restrictions on, lifted upon good results of the same aforementioned tests, and only available to approved homes. 

  

Golden Retrievers can be attention-seeking dogs, and need time and patience from their owners.  They love walks/socialising/going to parks/space to entertain their ever learning minds.  They mix easily at home with most pets, from rabbits to Rottweilers :)  but its not suggested that a Golden Retriever be an only dog/pet.  Fantastic with children, tolerant, loyal, ever loving, can be family protective, but they aren't generally known for 'protect my family and home', that you'd need your ever faithful alarm system for still.  

Usually water and mud loving dogs, this should be kept in mind as well, should you have an unprotected Koi pond just outside your front door...  

Coat wise they moult minimally, less than a Labrador, dont require huge amounts of grooming, just the weekly run through with a slicker brush (a little more than a Lab).

A comedian, a naughty child, a soft lapdog, an energetic playmate for approx 15years  - all rolled into one... 

The legal stuff

Our puppies are registered with KUSA. Breeding restrictions on the puppies can be lifted on adequate test results.
