Reluka Staffordshire Bull Terriers was registered in 1989 with KUSA after my husband Andrè Rheeder received his first Staffordshire bull terrier from his grandmother as a gift. He was still in high school but started to attend dog shows and decided that he wanted to breed the Stafford of his dreams himself. He then registered our Kennel name, "Reluka." We got married in 1994 and enjoyed weekends away on dog shows together. But our own family extended and with the kids excelling in sport we stopped the dog shows, and weekends were spent at the sport fields. But we never stopped having staffies as pets ourselves. In 2016 our paths crossed with Gena from Lovinza Staffordshire Bull terriers and Zholee. Lovinza Tres Jolie of Reluka aka Zholee is the foundation bitch of the current Reluka Staffords. We weren’t looking for a Stafford at that time but Zholee was the best gift I ever received. She is still my best friend and the most intelligent, gentle and reliable dog I ever owned.

Like Cesar Millan said, you never get the dog you receive - you always get the dog you need. And that was Zholee for us and every single Stafford we have. Zholee is the mother of Reluka Torna Ruschka that was the first puppy born out of the first litter we had after returning to the show ring (also Zholee’s first born). Ruschka is the first Reluka champion and is still winning champion classes. Reluka Stafford’s is a family kennel, our daughter and son that are both married now do the dog shows with us and also breed with us. It is now a family mission to breed the perfect Stafford. Although in my opinion every Stafford is perfect for the person who loves them.

We believe that temperament is most important to keep in mind when you do mating. Our Staffords are well socialised with people and other dogs. We now have a young dog Reluka Unos Stoeger that was bred by my son last year, we are very excited about his future, at the young age of 14 months old he won his first Best of Breed under specialist judge Mr Lourens Ten Napel.

We register our puppies with KUSA without breeding restrictions. Every puppy has a microchip implanted. The buyer gets a KUSA registration certificate.
